While watching movies, Ela Mysińska is always focused on the image as a fan of cinematography; how the frame is composed, wondering how the light of the scene was created and contemplating how to use this knowledge in her own compositions.

She studied at the faculty of sociology and graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, while using photography as a means to illustrate social phenomena and to document field research. While she mostly works with digital equipment, Mysińska lived in Prague for a short time, where she explored the possibilities of analogue techniques. Recently, she achieved formal education in photography after attending dedicated classes at the Krakow School Of Art & Fashion Design.
